Type Hike is a typographic exploration of America's National Parks, in honor of their centennial year, 2016. Fifty-nine designers and typographers worked to create a unique design for a park they love in celebration of these essential spaces. The project is organized by David Rygiol and James Louis Walker.
My chosen park was Carlsbad Caverns in New Mexico, a place I visited as a young girl that has remained one of the most fantastic mysteries I've ever encountered. I also ate the spiciest frito pie of my life out of the bag on that trip and bought my first pair of Sketchers. Good times.
